Breast Augmentation - General Information

What's It All About

To provide fuller, enlarged breasts or to reconstruct the breasts after cancer surgery or trauma.

How Much Will It Cost Me

You are looking at it costing from around £3000 as a daycase procedure to around £4000 staying overnight in hospital using round silicone implants upto 550cc (this cost is assuming the surgeon and/or provider are using their preferred implants as most will have an agreement with a manufacturer to get volume discount).

Going above this size may add an extra £600-£800 on top of the standard cost if going to 800cc, some manufacturers do make implants larger than this but they can add around £2000 to the cost of the surgery, as will using tear-drop implants (give a more natural look to the augmentation) which can add an extra £600-£800 on top of the standard cost.

Breast Uplift (Mastopexy) - General Information

What's It All About

To reduce the sagging of the breasts by making them appear higher.

How Much Will It Cost Me

You are looking at it costing from around £4700 to around £5500 for a mastopexy. If the surgeon recommends you to have Breast Augmentation to accompany the Mastopexy you can look at adding £1000 to £1500 on top of the initial cost depending on the implants used, this could become even higher.

The main factor in all this is the provider. You may find it is cheaper to go with a independent surgeon and his own private practice than with a major cosmetic surgery provider, however this extra cost may come with a more comprehensive aftercare program that an independent surgeon may be able to offer, such as free follow-up consultations.

Female Breast Reduction - General Information

What's It All About

To reduce the size and proportion of your breasts.

How Much Will It Cost Me

You are looking at it costing from around £4500 to over £5000 to have a breast reduction staying for one night in hospital. If you were to stay for two nights you are looking at between £5000 to £6000.

The main factor in all this is the provider. You may find it is cheaper to go with a independent surgeon and his own private practice than with a major cosmetic surgery provider, however this extra cost may come with a more comprehensive aftercare program that an independent surgeon may be able to offer, such as free follow-up consultations.

Capsulotomy & Capsulectomy - General Information

What's It All About

To remove the capsular contraction that occurs whenever an implant is inserted into the body (generally breast implants). When implants are placed into the body, the body forms a lining around it. This lining, or ‘capsule’, is formed by your own living tissue. Many people refer to this lining as the ‘capsule’, ‘tissue capsule’, or ‘scar capsule’, although it is not exactly the same as scar tissue.  This is the body's natural response.  It is normal, and to be expected.

Encapsulation (as it is known) is defined into four grades known as Baker Grades;
