What's It Made Of

Botox® / Vistabel® is made from purified Botulinum Toxin Type - A, a neurotoxin produced by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum.

Clostridium botulinum is a group of rod-shaped bacteria commonly found in the soil that grow best under low oxygen conditions. The bacteria form heat-resistant spores which allow them to survive in a dormant state until exposed to conditions that can support their growth. Clostridium botulinum produces botulinum toxin, a highly potent neurotoxin and the basis of the disease botulism. Seven different serotypes are produced by the bacteria: A, B, C, D, E, F and G. It is purified forms (in this instance A) of these serotypes that form the basis of Botox® & Vistabel®.

What's It Made Of

The Restylane® range is made up of non-animal stabilised hyaluronic acid (NASHA) gel. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is normally produced by the body and is what gives skin its volume and fullness.

Juvederm® uses the popular filler hyaluronic acid, and the range consists of three different sizes of gel particle specifically designed for use in certain areas of the face. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is normally produced by the body and is what gives skin its volume and fullness.

What's It Made Of

Matridur® is a mixture of non-animal stabilised hyaluronic acid 25mg/ml and cross-linked hyaluronic acid 25mg/ml.

Matridex® contains cross linked hyaluronic acid and dextranomers (dextran molecules). These form microparticles which have been used in surgical applications where healing needs to be as fast as possible and where regeneration and bulking of soft tissue is required.

Hydra Fill® is a modified form of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance found in human skin and throughout the body. Since Hydra Fill is based on natural hyaluronic acid, your body biologically accepts it as its own.
